Made Better Studio was created by me, April Holle. I own and primarily operate the business out of my home in historic downtown Mesa, Arizona – a cozy suburb of Phoenix metro area.

After working several years in small and large agency environments around Phoenix, I have racked up some great experiences working with large brands like Westin, RedBull, Kitchell, Paradise Bakery, Softscrub, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Facebook. I helped facilitate all kinds of interactive/online needs from strategy to design to development to marketing.

Working with these companies were great experiences, but I kept having this feeling that what I was doing really didn’t make the world a truly better place at the end of the day. I wanted to help small, local companies and non-profit groups get their message out to the public in a way that would really capture some of the great attention. I kept seeing so many great ideas or products go unnoticed simply because they didn’t look “professional”.

I have been freelancing part-time at some level since 2001, but in March 2010 I kicked off Made Better Studio full-time. Made Better Studio has since taken on a new direction that is quite a bit more serious than the moonlighting gig I started with 10 years ago.

By reviewing communication and business relationships, I find authentic, realistic strategies and techniques that utilize both new and old ways of communicating with people to help create and foster long lasting connections. I help set up these means of communication and make them streamline with your current ways of doing business.

The Made Better Network

I realized early that you can’t do it all by yourself, but if you get a team of people united under a common goal you can get a lot of things done in a way that’s simply made better. I also realized, that to stay flexible I wanted to stay extremely small. How to do both?

I turned to the people who had always supported me in doing my own thing, other part and full time freelancers like myself.

I have been part of the ever-growing technology and design communities since I moved into the Phoenix metro area in 2005. I love working with the best of the brightest that tech and design has to offer, surrounding myself with people who are awesome in ways that compliment my role in the company.

These really creative extremely talented, yet self-managing people are awesome to team up with and collaborate together to tackle projects that may be a bit more than one person can bite off. Depending on what our clients require, we work together to build a team that’s just right for the job, never too big or too small. The best part is that we are used to working together to get things done, like a well oiled machine.

So, while I may not have any full-time employees at Made Better Studio other than myself, I can usually find exactly the right person for the job and together we’ll get it done right.
