Thanks to a kind introduction from Scott Jones of the Conservations Lands Foundation, I had the honor of working with the Friends of the Sonoran Desert National Monument—an independent grassroots non-profit organization of Arizonans who work with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the conservation, protection, and promotion of the Sonoran Desert National Monument.
When Made Better Studio began work with Friends of the Sonoran Desert National Monument (FSDNM), they were looking to get word out about their important mission to protect and preserve the Sonoran Desert National Monument in a professional way that would be taken seriously.

Staying in Touch With Printed Non-Profit Marketing Collateral Materials
With help from Strong Design Studios, Made Better Studio designed and printed two different types of nonprofit business cards to stay in touch with the Friends of the Sonoran Desert National Monument after in-person events and meetings. We also designed and printed an on-brand nonprofit letterhead and envelope stationary set for uniquely identifiable donation thank you letters, fundraising appeals, and other nonprofit communications delivered in the mail.
Non-Profit Email Communications Support
Staying Top-of-Mind via Consistent E-Newsletters & Appeal Emails
Two custom non-profit outreach mass email templates were created, one for the FSDNM monthly e-newsletter and another for fundraising appeal emails as well as other special long-form email notification alerts.
Made Better Studio created two different email template wireframes to inform the design assistance provided by Strong Design Studios for both email layouts. Then once the two email designs were finalized, Made Better Studio developed them into custom Campaign Monitor mass email templates that were super easy for volunteers to use. This allowed the FSDNM to quickly send out consistent email communications that were guaranteed to be “on-brand” and look great for each and every email blast sendoff.
While this client has had many successes—one particular email urging the FSDNM Action Network to get out and vote engaged 140+ voters!

Printed Non-Profit Brochure Perfect for In-Person Community Outreach
Perfect for in-person community outreach, the FSDNM nonprofit brochure serves as a compact information-packed take-away or leave-behind marketing material.
The outreach brochure interior quickly conveys the most important information about the FSDNM in an effective and compelling way. Doubling as a fundraising brochure, the interior fold-in flap acts as a mail-in donation form. While the back panel urges the reader get involved with FSDNM volunteering and advocacy.
