Honored to Lead WordCamp Phoenix 2014
I’ve been an active member of the Phoenix WordPress community, even before the first WordCamp Phoenix was held in 2009, and since 2009 I’ve been selected to speak each year, until 2013…
When it was time to pass the torch—I was selected to lead WordCamp Phoenix 2014!
The year-long, behind-the-scenes, nonprofit community event planning process started with picking out an amazing organizing committee to assist in the community event management and culminated with throwing the 3rd largest WordCamp in the U.S. in 2014.

Commemorative Attendee T-Shirt & Volunteer Hoodie
Highlighting the Community with Mad Libs Style Interactive Apparel
We partnered with Stephanie Liebold of Bold Avenue to print one-of-a-kind interactive apparel to commemorate WordCamp Phoenix 2014. I approached Stephanie with the initial “mad libs” style interactive apparel design concept—which proved to break the ice and highlight the uniqueness of each WordPress community member.
Each attendee received their own customizable t-shirt and all volunteers also received a fill-in-the-blank hoodie. The volunteer hoodies served two purposes: both to make volunteers easy to spot for help or to answer any attendee questions as well as an extra way to say thank you to each and every volunteer for all their efforts.
